They definitely don't force accommodations on you and there's honestly very little hassle. I get extra time for separate anxiety issues, and I'm not sure how it would help accommodate depression, but if thats something you feel you need, the DRC is usually pretty open about giving you what you ask for. This has helped alleviate the pressure a lot because I no longer end up both depressed and stressed about losing attendance points or failing an assignment. This is tailored to my depression which comes in waves or bouts, basically I still do all the work but if I'm super depressed I can put it off and focus on sorting myself out for a little while. ![]() How much flexibility I get depends on discussions with the professors I have at the beginning of term, thought I only bother to bring it up with professors that are strict about attendance or deadlines. For our study carrels, the more precise answer is that our open carrels are ALL accessible for the ones that are enclosed, SEVERAL are accessible.So the types of accommodations you can receive are based off what you need/how your symptoms affect your academics.
